Camille Lemonnier Museum
Working office of Camille Lemonnier (1844 - 1913) and Belgian letters in French.
In this museum, one can discover a faithful recreation of Camille Lemonnier's working office, as it existed on 'Rue du Lac' in Ixelles, and most of the work of arts that belonged to the Marechal of Letters . Among the works are paintings of Emile Claus, Juliette Wytsman, Adrien-Joseph Heymans, Rodolphe Wytsman, Théo Van Rijsselberghe, Eugène Verdyen, Théodore Baron, Louise Lemonnier. The Breton Library, well stocked in bookboundings, contains works of Juliette La Bruyère, Boisdenghien and illustrations of James Ensor, Laermans, Xavier Mellery, Fernand Khnopff. The museum also owns sculptures of Auguste Rodin, Jef Lambeaux, Charles Vanderstappen...
