The exhibition 1001 Landmarks is accessible for hearing impaired and deaf children. In collaboration with Passe-Muraille, the museum organises every 4th Wednesday of the month an animation in sign language.

Mother and father peregrine falcon have returned, and are brooding an amazing amount of five eggs!

This year again, camera's installed within inches from the nest will allow us to follow each detail of this spectacle which is 100% natural. For the streaming and the blog go to www.falconsforeveryone.be.

The observation post, an initiative of the Natural Science Museum, will be open from 2 April 2013 to 26 May 2013. The observation post is situated at the foot of the cathedral, in the rue du Bois sauvage, to the left of the front of the cathedral. Two screens show what is going on in the nest night and day. Ornithologists will answer all your questions on the spot, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 12 to 6 p.m. If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the falcons through the telescope!

The Museum Award rewards 3 museums in Flanders, Brussels and the Walloons, for their innovating projects to actively involve new audiences.

A professional jury nominates 5 museums for each region. The final jury then chooses 3 winners who will return home with 10 000 EUR each.

Visitors can also vote for their favourite museum. And a children's jury selects the most child friendly museum for each region.
