Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry by Elene Naveriani

  • Events

Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry evokes that moment when everything gently shifts in life. Etero, 48, the owner of a grocery store, leads a peaceful and solitary existence, free from social expectations despite the gossip. After a fall in the forest that leaves her unharmed, her perspective on the world is profoundly altered.
Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry finds its place within our programme Our Burning Love: States of Love, as it poetically explores themes such as freedom, unconventional love, patriarchy, and solitude. The film also highlights the wild beauty of nature, which subtly accompanies the emotional awakening of the protagonist.
This bold third feature by Elene Naveriani won the Heart of Sarajevo at the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2023. It was also showcased at the Directors’ Fortnight that same year.
