As part of the temporary Draw me a train” exhibition, Train World is offering a series of creative workshops to teach visitors how to paint trains and their world in watercolour. A first introductory session to the watercolour technique will be held on 16 March. On 22 and 30 March, you’ll have the opportunity to practice or learn to paint in watercolour right where you are, throughout the museum.

A first introductory session to the watercolour technique will be held on 16 March. On 22 and 30 March, you’ll have the opportunity to practice or learn to paint in watercolour right where you are, throughout the museum. 

16 March : Drawing tour of Train World 

Equipped with a sketchbook and a box of watercolours, come and see the Train World museum in a unique way, sketching out some on-the-spot” drawings. 

You’ll learn how to sketch locomotives, capture details and portray a mood with just a few brushstrokes. 

And you’ll leave with a notebook full of instant, personal memories. 

22 and 30 March : Introduction to watercolours 

Have you always dreamed of taking up watercolour painting? 

Train World is offering an introductory workshop to this technique in the exceptional setting of the Salle des Pas Perdus. 

No basics required, you’ll learn to master water and colours, create a gradient and give depth to your drawing. 

This workshop is for all ages. 

Practical information

When: 16, 22 and 30 March at 13pm 

Where: The old Schaerbeek station, Train World, Place Princess Elisabeth 5, 1030 Schaerbeek 

Duration: 3 hours 

Age: 7 years and up. Suitable for all generations. 

Accessible to beginners and advanced alike. You can register for one, two or all three dates. The group is made up of a maximum of 20 people. Reserve your place now.
