Un jazz-rock original alliant exploration sonore et interprétation singulière

With a blend of biting riffs and sonic explorations, the band offers a poetic breath to a music that aims to be free and adventurous.

Le Grand Partir is led by drummer Théo Lanau (SOROR, Amaury Faye trio, Mobilhome…), a prolific and eclectic musician, influenced by the work of Jim O’Rourke, Robert Wyatt, Carla Bley and Fred Frith. Together with guitarists Benjamin Sauzereau (FUR, Hélène Duret Synestet…), Léo Rathier (Harmattan Brothers, Chaman Chômeur…) and clarinetist/saxophonist Sam Comerford (Thunderblender, Warm Bad…), the quartet delivers a narrative, sensitive and striking music. For those who like Gastr del Sol, The Lounge Lizards, Marisa Anderson, Horse Lords, Dirty Three…

After a first eponymous EP published in 2022 on Bêtes Records, Le Grand Partir releases today its first album Super Star” on IGLOO Records, a key label on the Belgian scene since 1978.
