This new exhibition highlights the work of some of the greatest artists who have expressed the beauty of the train in their work in their time: Victor Horta, Henry van de Velde, Paul Delvaux, Franquin, Santiago Calatrava, François Schuiten and many others.
On this occasion, original drawings by Victor Horta relating to his work at Brussels-Central station will be exhibited to the public for the first time. Carriages from the 1930s, designed by Henry van de Velde, have been restored especially for the occasion and are on exclusive display.
During the exhibition, visitors will learn to draw some of our most beautiful trains or a selection of remarkable or unusual objects from the SNCB collections on drawing boards and easels. This way you can experience for yourself the pleasure that these great artists felt when they came into contact with the world of trains.
