Discover the Royal Toone Theatre, the last remaining traditional rod puppet theater, located in the heart of Brussels, a stone’s throw from the Grand Place. At the Toone Museum, immerse yourself in the fascinating world of rod puppets, an art form declared a living cultural treasure and a masterpiece of the oral heritage of Brussels. Here you’ll discover the most emblematic pieces from a rich collection of some 1,500 puppets from Belgium, Northern France and Sicily, as well as Woltje in all his roles.
