For the Belgian book launch of The Queer Arab Glossary, author Marwan Kaabour and Kaaitheater-programmer Maria Dogahe enter a dialogue. The Queer Arab Glossary is the first collection of Arabic LGBTQ+ slang, published by Marwan Kaabour, who is a graphic designer and the founder of Takweer – an online archive of queer narratives in Arab history and popular culture. The Queer Arab Glossary features more than 300 terms in both English and Arabic, ranging from humorous to harrowing, from serious to tongue-in-cheek, from pejorative to endearing.
